Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified, passionate, and experienced foreign German language teacher to join our growing faculty. You will deliver structured lessons across CEFR levels A1–B2, equipping students with the language and exam skills necessary to build careers in Germany. This is a classroom-focused role with an emphasis on communicative teaching, exam preparation, and cultural immersion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons at A1, A2, B1, and B2 levels following the CEFR framework
  • Achieve target pass rates and maintain assigned KPIs
  • Prepare students systematically for Goethe-Institute or OSD examinations, covering all four competencies: reading,
    writing, listening, and speaking. Conduct oral proficiency sessions and mock speaking examinations
  • Provide guidance and supervise local German language teachers
  • Select and adapt teaching materials, textbooks, and audio-visual resources aligned with CEFR standards
  • Assess student progress regularly through written tests, oral evaluations, and continuous assessments
  • Integrate German cultural context  workplace norms, healthcare communication, and daily life in Germany into lessons
  • Support student motivation and engagement across diverse learner groups, including nurses, apprentices, and seafarers
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records, lesson plans, and progress reports
  • Contribute to the development of supplementary learning materials and exam preparation guides

Required Qualifications

  • In German Language, German Linguistics, DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache), DaZ (Deutsch als Zweitsprache), or a
    recognised teaching qualification in German Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Demonstrated experience teaching German to adults at A1–B2 levels
  • Proven experience preparing students for Goethe-Institute and/or OSD examinations
  • Native proficiency in German (C1/C2)
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong command of communicative and task-based language teaching methods
  • Ability to work with multi-level, mixed-background learner groups
  • Valid passport and eligibility to work overseas

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience teaching German in a healthcare or professional migration context
  • Familiarity with Goethe or OSD examination formats and preparation
  • Experience living or working in Asia
